We will be responsible producers by doing the right thing for our environment. We plan to grow our business in a sustainable manner with a minimal impact on the environment, and we will prioritise reduction of our carbon footprint to achieve net-zero by 2050.
What we have committed to
Here at Pukka we have set emissions reduction targets through the Science Based Targets initiative, with levels required to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.
The targets covering greenhouse gas emissions from Pukka Pies’ operations (scopes 1 and 2) are consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°c, the most ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement, which the latest climate science has told us is needed to prevent the most damaging effects of climate change.
"I will ensure the Leadership team are challenged and fully engaged with driving the HSE and sustainability agenda across the business"
Isaac Fisher, Managing Director
Near Term
“Pukka Pies commit to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2021 base year, and reduce its Scope 3 emissions.”
Net Zero
“Pukka Pies commit to reach net-zero latest by 2050. As part of this, we commit to reduce absolute scope 1,2 and 3 GHG emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2021 base year.”
How will we achieve this?
Working closely with SBTi, we had our decarbonisation targets validated in March 2024.
Our science-based target proves our commitment, by doing not just what is necessary, not just what is easy. Pukka will collaborate with SBTi, our customers, and our suppliers, to learn and improve how we can minimise our impact on our environment.
We can go further and faster, together.
To find out more
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses companies’ targets.
